    COMMUNICATIONS Tourism in Aragon

Zaragoza is located roughly 300 kilometres away from the three capitals of the Spanish economy: Madrid, Bilbao and Barcelona, to which Zaragoza is linked by means of freeways.

Fast railroad connections exist with the three cities, and shortly the AVE (high-speed train) will start offering its service between Madrid-Zaragoza-Barcelona. The current train station of Zaragoza is located in the city centre. The construction of a new station has begun and it will include the AVE train, long distance and short distance trains, as well as coaches in the same facilities.

The airport of Zaragoza constitutes an important option for the transport of passengers and goods, and it is located 15 minutes from the city centre.

Zaragoza is linked with Huesca by the only tract of the future freeway between Somport and Sagunto that has already been built. This freeway will re-organise communications in the community around this North-south axis.
